How do I view number plate captures and camera photos?
Open cameras, search for number plates, review access decisions and configure retention for camera captures and photos separately from other access data.

Quick answer
Open Access points → Cameras, select a camera and switch to Number plate captures. Use Search to find a number plate. A camera icon beside the timestamp opens the available photo, provided you have permission to view camera images.
Requirements
The camera list requires Can view cameras. Viewing photos also requires Can view camera images. Employee details are only shown within the scope of your employee read permissions.
Open a camera and its captures
The Information tab shows the camera name and its assigned access point. The Number plate captures tab shows the timestamp, number plate, direction, access decision and any available vehicle details. If no number plate was recognised, it shows Not recognised.

The direction is Entry, Exit or Unknown. The first page refreshes regularly while the dialog is open. Use the refresh action and pagination to retrieve further results.
View a photo
If a capture includes a photo and you have the required permission, a camera icon appears beside the timestamp. Click it to open the image. Not every capture includes a photo.
Archived cameras
A camera marked Archived is no longer assigned to the construction site. Its previous capture history remains available here, subject to the retention settings.
Configure retention
Open Settings → Access → Camera data. This requires Can define retention and permanent deletion of access data.
- Click Edit.
- Enable Activate automatic deletion if required.
- Enter Retention in calendar days: values from 1 to 3650 days are allowed. Today counts as one of those days, using the construction site’s time zone.
- Save. When enabling automatic deletion or shortening the retention period, confirm permanent deletion.
Older number plate captures and their associated photos are permanently removed during the next automatic deletion run. Without automatic deletion, they are retained indefinitely. Increasing the retention period later does not restore deleted data.
Configure retention for other access data separately under Settings → Access → Access details. Changing Camera data does not change that other retention period.
