Clean the printer when you insert a new dye film: remove the dye film and card hopper, choose Menu → Clean rollers → Next on the printer and push the cleaning card narrow end first into the slot below the display. Then replace the cleaning roller and put the dye film and card hopper back.
Step 1: Remove the dye film and card hopper
Take out the dye film and the card hopper.
Step 2: Start cleaning
Press Menu on the printer, choose Clean rollers and then Next.
Step 3: Insert the cleaning card
Push the cleaning card narrow end first into the slot below the display. The printer draws it in, cleans itself and ejects it again.
Step 4: Replace the cleaning roller
Open the lid and take out the old roller. Pull the protective film off the new roller and insert it; the arrows point down.
Step 5: Put the dye film and card hopper back
Insert the dye film, close the lid and put the card hopper back.
