Install the Magicard 300 driver and connect the card printer via USB
Install the driver for the Authentys 300 with a short video: download and install the Magicard 300 driver and connect the printer directly to the computer via USB only when prompted.

Quick answer
Download the Windows driver for the Magicard 300 from support.magicard.com (the same printer as the Authentys 300) and run the .exe file. Choose USB in the installer. Only when the installer asks you to, plug the USB cable into the back of the printer and directly into the back of the computer, not into a USB hub.
Prerequisites
- The printer is prepared: power, cleaning roller, dye film and cards are in place.
- You need administrator rights to install the driver. If you do not have them, ask your IT team or whoever set up the computer.
Step 1: Download the driver
On the computer, open support.magicard.com/drivers-and-downloads and choose Magicard 300. Click Download for the Windows driver. The correct file ends in .exe.
Step 2: Start the installer
Open the file in your Downloads folder. Choose USB and click Next.
Step 3: Connect the printer when the installer asks you to
Only now plug in the USB cable: the square end into the back of the printer, the flat end directly into the back of the computer. Do not connect the printer to a USB hub.
Step 4: Finish the installation
Wait until the installation has finished. Restart the computer afterwards if necessary.
