Quick answer
Try printing in Google Chrome first. If the preview still stays blank or jobs remain stuck, fully reset the Windows print queue and then disable bidirectional support in the printer properties.
If a printout from Bausicht does not work – the print preview does not load or print jobs get stuck – there are two possible causes:
- It is the browser. → Only step 1 is needed.
- The Windows print spooler has hung. → Carry out step 2 completely.
Step 1: Use Google Chrome
Please use Google Chrome for printing.
In other browsers the print preview may fail to load or load only partially. Open app.bausicht.com in Chrome and start the printout again there.
Does printing work now? Then it was the browser and you are done – step 2 is not needed.
Step 2: Reset the spooler
If the preview does not load in Chrome either, or if print jobs are still stuck, the Windows print spooler has hung. Please carry out both of the following points.
Reset the print queue
Press the Windows key and type
cmd. Right-click Command Prompt → select Run as administrator and confirm the question “Allow changes?” with Yes.Type (or copy) these three commands one after another and confirm each with Enter:
net stop spooler del /Q /F /S "%systemroot%\System32\spool\PRINTERS\*.*" net start spoolerClose the window and test printing again.
Note:
net stop spoolerandnet start spoolereach show a confirmation message. Thedelcommand shows no message – this is normal and correct.
Disable bidirectional support
- Open the system settings (Windows key + i).
- Go to Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners (in older Windows versions: Devices and Printers).
- Select the affected printer and open the printer properties.
- Open the Ports tab.
- Clear the Enable bidirectional support checkbox.
- Confirm with Apply or OK.
Please do this even if printing is already working again – otherwise experience shows the spooler will soon hang once more.
