Bausicht Bridge connects Bausicht to a card reader with a SAM module for activating access cards or a Signotec signature pad for signing. What is the Bridge used for?

A standard desktop reader that enters the card ID like a keyboard does not require this integration. Signing with a mouse or finger also remains available without a signature pad. Installing Bausicht as an app (PWA) does not replace Bausicht Browser-Erweiterung or Bausicht Geräte-Service.

Step 1: Install the browser extension

Open the appropriate store for your browser:

• Google Chrome: Bausicht Browser-Erweiterung in the Chrome Web Store
• Microsoft Edge: Bausicht Browser-Erweiterung in the Microsoft Edge Add-ons Store

Add the extension to your browser, then reload the Bausicht page.

Devices only appears at the top right of Bausicht once the browser extension has been detected.

Step 2: Select devices and install the device service

1. Open Devices at the top right.
2. Enable Card reader with SAM module, Signotec signature pad or both. Bausicht may ask for this choice once during initial setup.
3. If Bausicht Geräte-Service is missing appears, click the notice. The instructions provide the appropriate download.
4. Download Bausicht Geräte-Service and install the file. If the connection is still not detected, restart the browser.

Step 3: Connect and use the device

Connect the device to the computer. Devices shows its connection status. If the SAM reader still needs configuring, open Set up card reader, then Configure.

To use only the signature pad, leave Card reader with SAM module turned off. Normal card activation with a desktop reader remains available. With Signotec signature pad turned off, continue signing with a mouse or finger.

If an enabled device is unavailable, Bausicht shows a notice in the device menu and during the relevant action. Check the Bausicht Geräte-Service installation and the device connection.

Which signature pad has been tested?

The signotec Sigma with USB connection and backlight has been tested and works with Bausicht. The USB version without backlight should also work, but has not been confirmed as tested.

The model can be purchased from the Signotec Webstore. Choose the USB version; the test confirmation does not cover Sigma LITE or vCOM/FTDI versions. No test confirmation is provided here for other models.
