How do I set up storage areas?

Quick answer
Open Settings → Site plan, select the required plan and choose Add storage area from the add menu. Enter the name and Storage area type, then click Create storage area. Next, define its position or the area elements that can be booked.
Requirements
You need an existing site plan, access to that plan and Can create storage areas. The Site plan viewing page provides an overview; use Settings → Site plan to configure it.
Choose the storage area type
| Type | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Marker | A single position on the plan, booked as a whole. |
| Freehand grid elements | Freely drawn area elements that can be booked individually. |
| Grid | An automatically generated grid whose elements can be booked individually. |
Define the position and area elements
Select the storage area and open Edit. Depending on its type, use Set position, Draw grid element or Add grid. Draw the required area on the plan and save your changes. For a grid, you can change its orientation in 15° increments or reset it; the plan needs a valid grid size.
Use Remove grid elements to select existing elements for removal. Undo and Repeat are available while editing. Pay attention to the displayed notices when changing areas that are already in use.
Check occupancy
The Logistics → Storage areas → Site plan view shows occupancy for a selected date. Available elements appear green. The settings page is used for configuration; create new bookings through the booking workflow.
