How do I create signature templates?
Creating signature templates for visitor cards and for disposal: template text with placeholders such as visitor name, construction site name or card number.
Whenever someone signs digitally in Bausicht – when a visitor card is issued or a disposal container is collected, for example – a signature template defines the text that is displayed. You build placeholders into the template text that are filled in automatically at the moment of signing.
Where are signature templates?
Bausicht has two places, each with its own templates:
| Location | Used for |
|---|---|
| Settings → Access cards | Signatures around access and visitor cards |
| Settings → Disposal | Signatures in the disposal documentation |
Creating a signature template for access cards
Open Settings → Access cards and scroll to the Signature templates section. Click New template there.

In the New signature template dialog you fill in:
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Name (required) | Label of the template |
| Language (required) | Language the text is displayed in |
| Template text (required) | The text the person sees when signing |

The buttons below the text field insert placeholders: Visitor name, Company (free text), Company, Construction site name, Card number and Date. When signing, these placeholders are replaced with the actual values.
Creating a signature template for disposal
Open Settings → Disposal and click New template in the Signature templates section. Here an additional required field Type defines what the template is used for.

Different placeholders are available for disposal – among them the employee name, the construction site, the date, the container with its serial number, the expected and the actual material as well as the company name.
Tip: Create the same template in several languages. People signing on your construction site then see the text in their own language, which makes the signature considerably more binding.
